Grass also tends to become stemmier /less digestible as the season goes on leading to a greater need to supplement the cow’s diet This ration will help cows milk to their full potential, with increased milk proteins and also allow them put on some body condition.

Formulated especially for the Dairy cow on grass in spring & early summer. This ration is particularly useful where fertility is or has been a problem. Spring grass is a very nutritious, but unbalanced feed for the dairy cow.

While being over supplied with protein, the grazing cow can often be short of essential energy & minerals especially in the first few weeks after ‘let-out’. In addition, the cow’s digestive system is having to adjust from a largely silage based diet to a grass diet, so her daily intake will be reduced & she will become deficient in dietary energy.

To compound matters, this often coincides with peak milking demands shortly after calving. Along with addressing the energy deficit & reducing her protein overload, this ration will provide a proper mineral supply at relatively low daily feeding levels.
